When things go wrong
Sometimes you will need advice during employment. Redundancy
It is a sad fact of life that restructuring, reorganisation and redundancy is not uncommon. We can advise individuals or groups of employee representatives in such a situation on their rights and help them through the process
Termination of Employment
Your employment may end amicably or acrimoniously. We can help you deal with both eventualities. It may be that you need advice on the impact of your restrictive covenants if you are going to a new employer or that you need help in bringing an Employment Tribunal claim or negotiating a settlement if things have gone wrong.
Compromise Agreements
Sometimes, when your employment ends your employer will ask you to sign a compromise agreement. This is most common in circumstances where you are being paid a termination payment. We can help advise you on your rights and make sure that you negotiate the best package.
Employment Tribunal
It may be that you feel that you have no alternative but to bring a claim in the Employment Tribunal. We can advise on your chances of success, likely cost and whether there are any other ways to resolve the issue. If necessary we can represent you at Tribunal.
After the relationship has ended
If you are a senior executive your former employer may have required you to enter into restrictive covenants which may affect who you work for post termination. We can advise as to their enforceability and as to whether there is any way to avoid their effect.
