Although we cannot promise there will be a vacancy at the end of your Training Contract, we would like to think that after investing two years in your development and helping you to qualify as a Solicitor, together with our continued planned growth, vacancies will naturally occur for the best trainees. Some details on some of our current trainees can be found here.

We offer a complete range of legal services to businesses and private clients, local government and major corporations. We pride ourselves on delivering a rapid response and friendly, professional service to all our clients.
A number of our Partners and Solicitors are recognised as leaders in their fields. Our core areas of law cover Corporate/Commercial, Residential Property, Family, private client and Catastrophic Injury/Clinical Negligence.
Training Contract
Our Training Contract is planned to challenge you but also to coach, mentor and support you. We aim to train and develop you to become a qualified Solicitor capable of achieving your highest career aspirations.
Although we want you to become an excellent academic or technical lawyer, this is not enough to succeed in today’s fast moving legal environment. You must become an excellent communicator, internally as well as externally, and have the ability to build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues and others. Therefore during your training contract you will attend a range of courses, conferences and seminars internally and externally.
Seats
After an initial induction programme to introduce you to the firm, it’s systems, policies and procedures, the two-year training contract is divided into a minimum of four seats of four to six months duration. The programme is aimed at giving you a broad range of experience in commercial and private client work.
Every effort is made to allocate trainees seats in their preferred areas of law, but this will be subject to the availability of training supervisors and workloads.
At the beginning of each seat you will be given a checklist detailing the elements of the matters you will be expected to cover. You will receive regular training and coaching and formal monthly reviews to support you. From the beginning you will be expected to take responsibility for your work and will have direct contact with clients. We aim to challenge our trainees and will expect you to take charge of your career from day one.
